Striped Maple Viking Staff
this is based on a staff found in an excavation of Viking Dublin,
dating from around 800AD.

This is a cudgel, inspired by a character from the Norse myths,
Bergelmir was the progenitor of the frost giants after Ymir (the
first frost giant) was slain by Odin and his brothers. The name
"Bergelmir" is inscribed in nordic runes along the body
of the cudgel.
This cudgel is carved out of an uprooted striped maple sapling.
and is 26 1/2 inches in length from horn to pomel.
