The blade on this sword is a composite pattern welded construction of two 9 layer interupted twist bars with a 700 layer folded edge strand running around the cutting edge. It is forged of 1075/8670m and has a subtle blue sheen.

The hilt is carved with runic inscriptions which call on the elements: isa, brisingr, jostr, orindi - ice, fire, yeast, breath. Carved on the hilt, grip and scabbard are the ancient symbols of the dragons heart, the sacred goal of every dragon slayer.
