Irish Cheiftains sword
This is a La Tene period style Iron age leaf blade. It has an
open centered ring hilt. The blade is 26 inches with a 6 inch
hilt. The fittings are silicon bronze. The blade is hand forged
crusible L6, with a hand rubbed satin finish, the gripp and scabbard
are curly maple with a moose antler spacer on the gripp. The tang
has a countersunk nut which was then peaned.

This sword was resently featured in an article by my teacher
Don Fogg about sword smithing, in the book "Blade's Guide
To Making Knives"
